PLT is a national environmental education program sponsored in Minnesota by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. PLT consists of a suite of curricula, teacher education workshops, and a web site.
All activities in the curriculum guides are interdisciplinary, hands-on, and correlated to Minnesota Academic Standards.
Activity guides include:

* Minnesota Early Childhood Supplement to PLT (11 activities)

* Forest Ecology
* Municipal Solid Waste
* Places We Live

The national PLT web site (www.plt.org) contains additional resources for specific activities such as connections to "Earth and Sky" radio shows, literature lists, powerpoints, and other items.
To get a curriculum guide, one must attend an educator workshop. Educator workshops are offered throughout the state. Participants receive continuing education units and/or graduate credit (by request only).
