Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) presentation will include hands-on activities where students will learn proper identification, proper usage, proper disposal, toxicity issues and safety. Can be used in conjunction with HHW Learning Trunk.

MINNESOTA ACADEMIC STANDARDS
3.1.B.1- The student will ask questions about the natural world that can be investigated scientifically.
3.IV.C.2- The student will know that changes in a habitat can be beneficial or harmful to an organism.
4.I.A.1- The student will explore the uses and effects of science in our interaction with the natural world.
4.I.A.2- The student will discuss the responsible use of science.
4.III.A.1- The student will identify and investigate environmental issues and potential solutions.
5.I.A.2- The student will recognize that clear communication of methods, findings, and critical review is an essential part of doing science.
6.I.A.1- The student will distinguish between scientific evidence and personal opinion.
