Abstract:

Part of the Alex the Frog Series, one of the multimedia resources produced by the Center for Global Environmental Education.

With Alex the frog as the guide, the Urban Water Cycle - on CD ROM and online - takes teachers, students, and citizens into underground aquifers, up water towers, and squeezing through the maze of pipes that circulate water through three related systems in urban environments. It's a journey that leads to new understanding of the importance of using water wisely. Includes: engaging videos, visualizations, interactive simulations and a standards-based classroom activity guide.

The CD covers all parts of the urban water cycle, including: (1) Drinking Water, (2) Waste Water and (3) Storm Water.
