Abstract: 

Trees + Me = Forestry introduces the student to trees beginning with basic tree identification and tree growth, including examination of the life cycle of paper birch. Forest succession along with different forest types are highlighted. Activities also include finding your way through a forest using a compass and map. Tree + Me = Forestry describes several careers in natural resources including forest and wildlife manager, wood scientist, silviculturist, and forest engineer. At the end of each topic area are suggested fair or science projects.
