Teens Turning Green (TTG) is a student led movement devoted to education and advocacy around environmentally sustainable and socially responsible choices for individuals, schools, and communities. TTG seeks to engage youth in the transition from conventional to conscious, empowering the next generation and mobilizing action to sustain our earth.
TTG has several programs including:
Project Green Challenge
Project Green Challenge seeks to engage high school and college students across the country and inspire them to transition "from conventional to conscious," via a 30-day green lifestyle Challenge. Beginning each October, students from around the world are invited to take action through simple, fun, and high impact daily challenges. Participants will be awarded points based on challenge completion and prizes for daily submissions.
Freshman Green 15
Teens Turning Green are launching a fall program called Freshman Green 15. The program is designed to offer resources for incoming freshmen to build a foundation for conscious college living. Incorporating four major resources, "15 Tips to Green Your Life", "15 Terms to Green your Vocab", "15 Things to Take to College", and a Green Packing List, students will have the tools to live consciously from day one of freshman year and for the rest of their lives. The program will encourage collaboration between student leaders, school personnel and incoming freshman to inspire sustainable choices for everyday decisions.
Project Green Spa
Project Green Spa is an interactive, student hosted event designed to inform, educate, demonstrate, and inspire a conscious change in the daily use of body care products. Up to 15 schools will be selected to host events on their campuses based on a submitted application and online interview. TTG will support these events with a Whole Body Conscious Collection that will travel from school-to-school from February through May. Each school has to fill out an application to participate here. Once applications are received and reviewed, school leaders will be invited for a Skype interview. Schools will be selected on a first come first serve basis.
