Abstract:

The School Forest Program is Minnesota's Outdoor Classroom Program!

- There are more than 120 DNR school forests in Minnesota. Schools can designate property of school land or elsewhere to use as an outdoor classroom for students and teachers. School Forests get DNR benefits such as assistance from foresters and other natural resources staff, on-site teacher trainings on how to tech outdoors, access to free tree seedlings from State Forest nurseries, and more. The program is free.
