Abstract: 

Aspen is a valuable raw material for paper, waferboard and lumber. It also contributes to soil and water conservation and provides habitat for many species of wildlife. This publication describes the regeneration process and gives management recommendations that promote regeneration of aspen following timber harvest. Discusses harvest seasons and methods with emphasis on clearcutting. Includes photos and an illustration.
