Abstract: 

This film reveals several types of rainforests throughout world and the biodiversity that lies within them. From the temperate rainforest of the Pacific Northwest to the world's largest rainforest in the Amazon River Basin, this film is truly a treasure house of plants, animals, insects, and many other life forms that have found the niche in this unique environment. The video briefly covers the environmental impacts on the rainforest ecosystem associated with harvesting and extraction of several natural resources, with increasing population growth at the main point. Included with the video are study questions for students which could lead to further investigation into the topics discussed.
