The Leave No Trace State Advocate Program provides a resource person for each state to coordinate outreach, build alliances and provide education and training in their respective states. State Advocates are volunteers who work with local leaders and educators to help them achieve their goals for environmental literacy. State Advocates promote awareness of the Leave No Trace principles, provide support to other volunteers, coordinate training opportunities and strive to build a strong network of like-minded folks in order to further the Leave No Trace mission to educate people to enjoy the outdoors responsibly
State Advocates are available for consultation, information and referrals. Interactive information booths, guest speakers, training and online resources are also available.
