Abstract:

Sprawl and congestion are inevitable in America's future - as long as the US population continues to grow. By using colorful, eye-catching props, Roy Beck shows that US population growth itself is not inevitable. However, the current U.S. immigration policies do have serious consequences both here in the US and for other countries. Beck illustrates the unethical nature of our immigration policies which drain the smartest, most energetic people from Third-World societies that desperately need their leadership. He explains that setting immigration numbers is the key. This video is packed with the facts and analyses that make moral and practical sense of a complex and highly contentious issue.
