Abstract:

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit projects for its Fiscal Year 2016 - 2017 Environmental Assistance Grant Program.

One focus area is outreach and education for climate adaptation and community resilience.  The MPCA is seeking proposals that provide education and outreach to individuals and communities on adapting to the changing climate and preparing for extreme weather and/or build community resilience by implementing a free community sharing service (e.g. seed library, cooking/canning space, swap center, etc.) in an under-resourced/disadvantaged community.  Maximum grant of $30,000; 25% match required.  The application deadline for this focus area is April 13, 2016.

The RFP, application forms, and links to applicable rules and statutes are available at https://www.pca.state.mn.us/about-mpca/environmental-assistance-grants
(see Focus Area Category 1.3 in the Open category grants).
