Abstract:

Explore the Blue is a comprehensive educational resource from Take Me Fishing and Discovery Education intended to promote curiosity in the great outdoors. This program provides free resources to help teachers engage their students in a dialogue about outdoor recreational activities and the value of clean and healthy waterways.

The Educate section contains lesson plans in six subject areas, including Science, Math, English, Social Studies, Health, and Technology. Uncover the fascinating world of water and explore the issues facing our planet's most precious resource. All lesson plans are standards aligned and feature videos and multimedia tools on conservation, aquatic habitats, the importance of boating and fishing to societies and economies - designed to seamlessly integrate with your current plans.

Explore the Blue also provides engaging digital resources such as webinars and an interactive map, to schools and homes with the goal of making educators more effective, increasing student achievement, and connecting classrooms and families to a world of learning.
