Abstract:

When young people are substantially and actively involved in shaping the future, they are empowered to be the next generation of stewards for the natural world and they understand the importance of their role in preserving it. Learn how to involve youth in the conservation of our natural resources through community planning, environmental education, service learning, outdoor recreation, restoration projects and more!

The National Park Service Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Public Lands Institute created this site to serve as a tool for planning professionals and educators to better engage young people in stewardship of natural resources and in conservation and recreation planning.
