Pediatric Environmental Health is an extremely valuable publication in the field of pediatric environmental health for pediatric health care providers and those in public health. Several of NEEF's tools and resources for pediatric health care providers are referenced in this publication, including the Pediatric Environmental History Initiative, Environmental Management of Pediatric Asthma: Guidelines for Health Care Providers, and Children and Nature Initiative.
The 3rd edition of Pediatric Environmental Health is the landmark AAP guide to the identification, prevention, and treatment of pediatric environmental health problems. Developed by the AAP Council on Environmental Health and edited by Ruth A. Etzel, MD, PhD and Sophie J. Balk, MD, the 3rd edition has been completely revised and expanded, featuring 59 chapters - more than 900 pages - addressing topics such as birth defects, global climate change, plasticizers, the precautionary principle, and more. From asbestos to radiation, ultraviolet rays, pesticides, asthma, lead, tobacco, and child care and school environments, this new edition includes current information on an exhaustive range of environmental health issues.
The publication is available in print or eBook at the AAP online bookstore at https://www.nfaap.org/netforum/eweb/dynamicpage.aspx?site=nf.aap.org&webcode=aapbks_productdetail&key=76BAE074-B6DD-433D-B9DB-D28DE809A13B.
