Abstract:

With more than 16 Emmys to its credit and legions of fans, it's easy to see why the Bill Nye the Science Guy Series, is one of the most popular educational series of all time. Beloved by teachers and students alike, Bill Nye and his unique brand of Way Cool Science make complex science principles accessible for all learners.

Bill and his youthful scientists explain "the reasons for the seasons." The earth's tilted axis, coupled with its rotation around the sun, brings different parts of the planet closer to the sun during its orbit. Seasons, daylight and measurement of time are explained and demonstrated through some simple experiments and a lot of visual examples.
