General Duty Statement

Performs professional work in teaching curriculum and facilitating educational and enrichment programs in formal and informal learning environments. Prepares and organizes program materials for classroom activities and events. Assists in evaluation of a program, program development, related curriculum, methods, instructional materials and techniques. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE CURRENT OPENING:
Successful candidates will have experience with animal and plant handling and transport. Informal teaching experience is preferred. This position is located at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, which is open seven days a week, 365 days a year. Work schedules vary and employees may be required to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience working in formal or informal educational settings.

Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license. The driver's license must have no suspensions or revocations for driving-related offenses within the two year period prior to date of appointment. Suspensions for parking-related offenses are excluded.
