A Southeast Minnesota Water Workshop for Educators

About the workshop:
The River Starts Here Workshop is a collaborative project of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to provide educators with the tools and resources to use water as a context for learning in the classroom—while addressing Minnesota academic standards in science, social studies, and language arts.

Registration: $35, Limit: 50
Priority registration will be given to science educators within Winona, Wabasha and Olmsted Counties.

Participants will Receive:
•    Instruction and hands-on participation in water-based education activities, indoors and in the field
•    Sample lessons from  MinnAqua, Project WET, Project Learning Tree, Project WILD, and River of Dreams curricula
•    Introduction to ESRI Story Mapping and WHAF online technologies
•    Tour of the Whitewater Watershed
•    Catered lunch from two local farms
•    Annual Minnesota State Parks Vehicle Permit valid through June, 2019 ($35 value)
•    16 CEUs
